Sprint North Supply, a leading distribution provider of product and value-added enhanced services to the communications and security industries, has selected Descartes’ DeliveryNet technology to create a high performance logistics network that will increase customer service levels. Sprint North Supply will use the Descartes technology to rapidly connect suppliers, carriers and customers to one technology-based network to optimally manage shipments, inventory and customer service.
Descartes’ DeliveryNet technology will help enable Sprint North Supply to accelerate the distribution of more than 36,000 products from more than 1,300 manufacturers. This enhanced capability will help Sprint North Supply reduce inventory, carrying and transportation costs throughout the logistics network. Real-time inventory and shipment visibility combined with proactive alerts when delays are expected will dramatically enhance the value-added services that Sprint North Supply offers its customers, with services including Assemble, Wire and Test (AW&T), Engineer, Furnish and Install (EF&I), and Materials Management.
