Agreement Expands Relationship With Crowley And Descartes’ E-Transport Division
WATERLOO, ONTARIO, October 30, 2000 — The Descartes Systems Group Inc. (NASDAQ:DSGX), (TSE:DSG), a leading provider of global Internet logistics solutions, announced today that Crowley Liner Services (“Crowley”), a provider of ocean cargo transportation services and a wholly owned subsidiary of Oakland-based Crowley Maritime Corp., has broadened its transportation rate management agreement with Descartes. Under the agreement, Descartes’ E-Transport division will provide Crowley with rate publishing and retrieval services for all of its offices throughout North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. The E?Transport division also maintains Crowley’s Internet-based Customer Retrieval System, which allows Crowley’s customers to retrieve shipping rates via Crowley’s Web site.
